Block up the front of the seat and assemble the adjuster to the seat frame
bracket with the motor to the front. If the clevis pin is worn, use a new pin
and key.
Connect the motor wires to the bullet connector. Connect the motor
ground wire to the bracket.
Position the seat track assembly and install the four floor pan stud bolts.
Turn the adjuster screw sleeve for proper attachment to the floor pan
bracket. Install the clevis pin and key. Install the seat back and side
shields. Connect the battery ground cable and check the operation of the
seat.
Vertical Adjuster
First disconnect the battery ground cable. Then
unfasten the seat from the floor pan and tilt it
back.
Detach the motor wires at the relay and ground
screw. Pull the assist spring forward and un-hook
it from the adjuster flange.
Remove the clevis pins that attach the adjuster to
the seat frame bracket and the cam link. Remove
the adjuster assembly.
INSTALLATIO
Attach the adjuster assembly to the seat frame bracket and the cam link. If
the clevis pins are worn or bent, use new pins and keys. At the cam link
end, be sure to position the metal bushing outboard of the adjuster clevis.
Attach the motor wires to the relay and ground screw. Follow the wiring
color code on page 31.
Install the assist spring, first to the cam link and then by stretching the
spring and hooking it to the adjuster flange.
Install the seat assembly, seat back and side shields. Connect the battery
ground cable and check the seat for proper operation.
