Rotor Housing

The apex seals installed in the rotor slide against the trochoid surface of the housings as the rotor rotates

within the housing.

Three working chambers are thus created.

The trochoid surface also contains the exhaust port, the oil nozzle installation hole, and the spark plug

installation holes.

There are also coolant passages around the outer side of the trochoid surface.
