INDUCTION (INTAKE)

For the CE, the carburetor and valves are used to control the supply of the air/fuel mixture to the combustion chamber. For the RE, a six-port induction system induces the proper air/fuel mixture into the working chamber at any given speed. Under low-speed, low-load conditions, the air/fuel mixture is taken in through the primary port of the intermediate housing.

During medium-speed, medium-load conditions, intake through the secondary port of the side housing is added to the above.

During high-speed, high-load conditions, additional air/fuel intake is added through the auxiliary port. The opening and closing of the auxiliary ports is performed by valves controlled by the actuator. All rotary turbo engines have a four-port induction system.
